Book a Photoshoot

Please read our Terms of Service below before booking a photoshoot with us.

Photoshoot Terms of Service

We count "photoshoots" as any visit that includes a point-and-shoot camera (ie: not a phone), and/or any of the following: a tripod, posed subjects, props, light shields, umbrellas, and any other equipment related to the photoshoot. 

 

We offer our field, our gardens, and our floral workshop for photoshoots. The location of the shoot must be confirmed in advance.

Pricing

 

Shoots on our farm are $75 +gst per hour, and all hours are booked and counted in full (ie: we do not cut the rate for partial time filled). For example, if the shoot only runs for 45 minutes, the cost is still $75. If it runs one 1.25 hours, the total cost is for 2 full hours, or $150.

Upon confirmation of your booking, we will send you an online invoice, and the first $75 +gst will be due upon receipt. The remaining amount will be due within 24 hours following the photoshoot. Billing begins at the time specified in the booking. Late arrivals will be responsible for the rate starting from the time indicated in the booking.

Capacity & Punctuality

Maximum eight people are included in our hourly fee. Additional persons will incur an additional $5/hr.

 

We expect clients to be punctual, and to manage their booked time efficiently for best value. We are located 15 minutes SE of Vulcan. Once we have shared directions to our location, please view your route via Google Maps to estimate the length of time your drive will take, and plan accordingly.

 

Facilities

We have power outlets in one of our outbuildings, however all equipment, including extension cords, is the responsibility of the client. We currently do not have an outhouse available for visitors, and photoshoot parties are asked to plan a stop at the Vulcan petro station's washrooms before arriving. Our house washrooms are available for emergencies, however permission must be granted before entering our private residence.

Parking is indicated by our barrel sign at the end of our driveway. Please park where the sign indicates.

Please note that either Sarah or a family member will be onsite to greet you upon your arrival, however we will not be on hand to assist throughout the shoot. We will be tending to farm duties during the shoot, and will check in on the hour.

Damage to Gardens

We take damage to our gardens very seriously. We expect all clients to respect our property and our plants. Damaged, broken, or trampled plants will be charged to the client, and may run anywhere from $20 - $60 per plant, depending on the value of the plant. Remember, we harvest from single plants for several weeks, and one plant can generate up to $60 in revenue during the growing season.

Picking flowers is NOT allowed. We harvest our blooms for bouquets, save them for seed, or hang them to dry. Our flowers are not cheap or easy to grow, and they are not "freebies" during your shoot. Flowers picked without permission will be billed to the client, ranging from $2.00 to $10.00 per bloom, depending on the bloom. 

Cleanliness and Safety

- Guests may not litter or leave trash on our property. A $25 clean up fee will be applied if trash is left behind.

- Guests may not wander the farm without our express permission. We have several areas that are unsafe to children, and we have animals that may not be disturbed.

- NO SMOKING whatsoever, anywhere on the premises. We are situated in a drought-prone location, and during the summer even a small spark is a serious fire hazard. Guests caught smoking will be asked to leave the farm immediately.

- No alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs may be brought onto our property.

- No off leash pets allowed. Clients must confirm any pet or animal with us prior to the shoot.

- No climbing on farm equipment or structures.

- Children may not be left unattended at any time. Children may not roam the gardens, and parents are expected to prevent them from picking flowers and damaging our plants at all times.

Tagging

We ask that guests tag our farm in online posts of their photos, using @albertagirlacres.

Waiver of Liability

Use of Alberta Girl Acres' premises is at the photographer's and clients/guests' own risk. The photographer and clients/guests, and any person visiting our farm for the purpose of this booking, hereby agree that Alberta Girl Acres will not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damage, injury or loss to people or possessions while on the premises. The photographer and clients/guests holds harmless and indemnifies Alberta Girl Acres and its owners, agents, representatives, associates, officers, employees, guests and tenants against any suit, claim, loss, accident, judgment, fine, injury or damages, including reasonable attorney’s fees. This indemnification shall continue in full force and effect during and after the term of the booking for such causes arising during the term of the booking. 

By booking a photoshoot with us, you are agreeing to these Terms of Service.
